Wayne Lamprey

Wayne’s background and knowledge, combined with tenacity and legal and trial skills, have produced remarkable results.

He has represented the whistleblower or lead plaintiff in actions that have recovered over $2 billion. Whistleblowers Wayne has represented have received multimillion-dollar awards under the federal False Claims Act and the False Claims Acts of over a dozen states, as well as the SEC whistleblower program. Even less known whistleblower programs provide opportunities for whistleblowers to protect the public. Wayne represented a whistleblower who reported violations of federal auto safety requirements, and the client received the first award ever made by the Department of Transportation - $24 million. From tugboat captains, to stock traders, automotive engineers, and employees of companies in other industries, Wayne’s clients have received the attention of government officials and been rewarded for their contributions to the public good.

"It's been an indescribable joy to get to devote my career to helping stop fraud and bring justice to bad actors."

Wayne attended and taught at the DOJ advocacy school.

Wayne’s talents and achievements are well recognized. He is one of the relatively few whistleblower lawyers who has tried multiple False Claims Act claims before a judge or jury, and presented the claim on behalf of both the whistleblower and the government. As a result of these and other trials, Wayne was invited to join the American College of Trial Lawyers, an honor extended to very few.

Wayne played a key role in the development of Whistleblower Partners, as he was a central figure in the hiring and training of many of the partners, as well as the management of the practice. Wayne has transitioned to Senior Counsel and in that capacity consults and assists with select matters and issues. Wayne is delighted to maintain his connection with the practice and his colleagues, and continue to represent the committed and public-spirited people who become whistleblowers. The ability to assist these individuals, while also benefiting the public, has been and remains tremendously rewarding.

Wayne enjoys competitive sailing and traveling with family and friends.
