Whistleblower Partners attorneys helped win the largest settlement to date related to Iraq war fraud, in which defense contractor KBR allegedly over-billed the U.S. government for unneeded supplies and materials. The two whistleblowers, Geoffrey Howard and Zella Hamphill Anderson, shared an award of $31.5 million, a 29% share of the total dollars recovered. The government declined to join the case and our attorneys litigated it alone for nearly a decade against some of the largest law firms in the country. They built a case that forced KBR to surrender, a rarity for this intransigent corporation. See Houston Chronicle.
