AT&T, Verizon, Sprint, and T-Mobile Ordered to Pay $138.7 Million for Overcharging State Governments

Whistleblower Partners attorneys represented OnTheGo Wireless in litigation against the four largest wireless carriers in the U.S. alleging that they knowingly failed to comply with contractual promises to deliver service “at the lowest cost available,” and provide rate plan “optimization” reports each quarter. This resulted in hundreds of millions of overcharges to government entities. $138.7 million was recovered in total, with 40% of that sum going directly to our whistleblower. See CBS News, Los Angeles Times, and Sacramento Bee.
