$57 Million Win, Home Health Fraud

NOT FOLLOWING THE DOCTORS’ ORDERS

Several of our attorneys were part of the team representing a whistleblower in a False Claims Act case against Visiting Nurse Services of New York, the nation’s biggest home health nonprofit. The company agreed to pay $57 million to resolve allegations that it failed to provide all of the services doctors ordered for its patients, but billed Medicare and Medicaid just the same. It’s likely that the conduct affected tens of thousands of New Yorkers.
