$900k Settlement with British luxury knitwear retailer to resolve Customs Fraud Allegations

Whistleblower Partners attorneys represented a British whistleblower who reported that his former employer, British luxury knitware company Pure Collection, routinely split US-bound orders into separate shipments to avoid duties by artificially keeping the shipment value below a dollar threshold known as the de minimis threshold, below which goods can be imported into the U.S. without paying customs duties. The company paid $875,538, its CEO paid $32,562, and the whistleblower received 18 percent of that settlement as a reward.
